What We Offer

The Pooch stylist offers Full-service grooming tailored to your dog’s size, coat type and temperament.

Services include shampoo and conditioning, breed-standard or style cuts, hand stripping, deshedding treatments, nail trimming and filing, ear cleaning and finishing spritz. Short appointments for tidy-ups and puppy introductory grooms are available.

Wellness:

Choose from medicated or hypoallergenic baths, deep-conditioning masks, flea and tick treatments, aromatherapy relaxants, paw pad moisturizing and teeth brushing. I also provide senior dog care with low-stress handling and joint-support bathing.

Customizable Requirements

Every groom is customizable:

  • Coat length and style (breed cut, scissor finish, short summer clip )

  • Areas to trim or leave natural (face, tail plume, sanitary trim, paw fur)

  • Shampoo choice (sensitive skin, whitening, de-shedding, medicated)

  • Handling needs (gentle handling, sedation-free approach, experienced reactive-dog handler)

Health & Safety Notes:

Please advise me of any medical conditions, allergies, recent vaccinations, behavioral issues or past grooming experiences when booking.

The Pooch Stylist reserve’s the right to modify services if a dog’s safety or wellbeing is at risk and will discuss alternatives and pricing before proceeding.

Any findings during the groom, you will be contacted via SMS.

Bookings can be adjusted to include any combination of services. Pricing varies by dog’s size, coat type, temperament and custom requirements; detailed estimates will be provided upon in person assessment.

  • Puppy Introduction Groom is the perfect first step in your puppy’s grooming journey. Designed for puppies up to 6 months of age, this gentle session focuses on creating a positive, stress-free experience while introducing them to the sights, sounds, and handling involved in professional grooming.

    This appointment includes a warm bath, gentle blow dry, nail trim, ear cleaning, light face and paw tidy (if appropriate), and plenty of patience, praise, and reassurance throughout.

    The goal isn’t a perfect haircut—it’s building your puppy’s confidence and trust, helping them develop positive grooming habits that will benefit them for life. Every puppy learns at their own pace, so what ever we can fit into 1.5hrs we can call it a win.

  • Reasons for extra charge are:

    Excessive shedding The dog has significantly more undercoat than expected, this requires extra brushing, undercoat removal and deshed time.

    Starts at $10

    Contamination/Biosecurity Additional charges will apply for dogs with Fleas, Ticks, ringworm or other contagious skin condition due to extra time, specialized treatments and extensive sanitization required to protect other pets and maintain salon safety standards.

    Mat removal

    A light mat removal can take up to 10 - 15 minutes, these can be brushed out . Any larger or more dense matts that are close to the skin is charged at an hourly rate.

    Aggressive behavior‍ ‍We understand that some dogs may react aggressively in unfamiliar situations. We don't believe this defines your dog, your dog can become more comfortable over time through patience, trust and positive experiences.
